Housing
I recommend using a bin cage with mesh on the lid. Keep in mind, the bigger the cage the more clutter you'll need and the more mice you'll need. They show signs of stress if there's only 3 in a 50 gallon tank/tote. You'll need:

• A Drill to make holes for zip ties or you can use the tip of the hot knife

Bedding
I highly recommend Kaytee aspen. It's the only bedding I have found to control mouse odor for any length of time

Wheel
​They need a minimum 8" upright wheel. Don't use saucer wheels. They cause back injuries. If you use an exercise ball, it needs to be a minimum 8" and you MUST supervise them when they're in it. Keep them away from stairs and space heaters, fire places, etc.
