There are many options of proper housing for rabbits. You can even use a large dog crate if the rabbit is big enough it cannot squeeze through the bars. These are some suitable options. I don't recommend wooden cages as they can be very hard to fully clean and absorb urine. Most people I have spoken to have thrown out their wooden cages after a few months because of the odor.
These are what I use and have used for years: amzn.to/3Wh2bTx
Dog exercise pen (you'll need 48" high as rabbits can clear anything shorter: amzn.to/3xQnkd6
Diet I will give you transition feed to switch to whatever brand you choose. I feed Purina Rabbit Show, but it's hard to come by and only comes in 50#. I have to order it and have it shipped and there's usually a 2 bag minimum. I highly suggest not feeding manna pro/manna show/manna grow from Tractor Supply. They have frequent recalls and I lost almost whole herd (19 out of 21 rabbits died) to a faulty bag. Avoid foods that has anything else in it besides pellets (no dried fruit, colorful pieces, etc). These are some good brands:
Oxbow (I'd recommend 10# as that should last you a month or so with one rabbit) For baby bunnies ) amzn.to/3Qmo93T For adult bunnies amzn.to/3QlXaVW
Kaytee Timothy Complete (if you feed this to rabbits under 6 months, you'll want to supplement with alfalfa hay. Babies need the extra calcium) https://amzn.to/3UmWYHv
Mazuri Rabbit Food (if you feed this to rabbits under 6 months, you'll want to supplement with alfalfa hay. Babies need the extra calcium) amzn.to/3xVgK57
They also need unlimited access to timothy hay. If they aren't given hay daily, they can get stasis. They need the long strand fiber to act as a pipe cleaner in their gut. Hay cubes won't be as good on their gut as the loose hay because it's comprised of short pieces of hay (hay dust pretty much).
Bedding Anything but corn (Kay Kob) bedding and cedar should be safe. I use pine flakes from TSC in the main part of the cage and their Equine Pine Pellets in the litter box.
